Turning a passion into a business
Vince Gibbs is a qualified mechanical engineer whose background has been in Quality & Technical Management in the manufacturing industry, working in senior roles for companies such as Cosworth Engineering, Hydro Aluminium and Sapa. Underneath this profession there has always been a Petrol Head.
Vince was given his first petrol engine propelled vehicle when he was eight years old, an NSU Quickly moped. The only problem for him was it was in several boxes. Vince and his Father put it together, got it running and spent many days zooming around the village fields.
During his apprenticeship Vince would buy old cars, do them up and sell them to finance building his fist drag race car, a 1977 Toyota Celica with a 3.5 litre Rover V8 engine. Vince kept this car for many years continually modifying it to improve performance. Before finally selling the car it had grown into a Chevrolet powered 6.3 litre, nitrous oxide injected monster with huge rear tyres and a modified automatic transmission.
The next drag race car was a Pontiac Firebird with a huge supercharged 9.3 litre big block Chevrolet engine producing over 1500 horse power. Vince competed for many years in national championship competition before finally hanging up his boots in 2014.
All of the mechanical work, engine building, electrical work, body fabrication, tuning, design, fabrication, suspension and steering was all carried out by Vince and the race team.
Vince also had numerous road going classic cars which he maintained and improved including Lotus, Vauxhall, Pontiac and Austin marques, to name a few.
In 2017 Vince decided to leave corporate industry and start his own business restoring and maintaining classic cars and with his large scope of knowledge he can turn his hand to many customer demands.

With our extensive network we are often able to source original replacement parts. If this is not possible we will discuss alternatives prior to fitting.
With high demand for our services we recommend discussing your project requirements early on in your planning, so we can get your workshop time booked for you .
